rThe late Ebony wins Artiste of the Year and makes history at the VGMA Posted by Editor on 2018-04-15 The late Ghanaian, artiste, Ebony, who died in a car crash on February 8, 2018, was named Artist of the Year at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday. Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, whose stage name is Ebony Reigns is also the first woman to win the Artiste of the year in the history of the VGMA. Her album Bonyfield also won ‘Album of the Year’, and her song Sponsor won ‘Afro Pop song of the year’. The Ghana Music awards celebrates musicians and producers annually. Some highlights of the event included performances from well known Ghanaian musicians such as Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Samini.
